He was beaten and whipped for sinners.

Most of us know all the details of Jesus’s life here on earth. It’s important to know what He truly did for us and why He did it.
Let’s look at the book of Isaiah, where the LORD spoke to Isaiah to prophesy about the coming Messiah (Jesus).
I’d like you to read Isaiah 52:13-15 and 53:1-12.
But before you do, here’s a summary for context; during this time the LORD was about to send all of His people, Israel, into exile because of their repetition of sins. They would not repent and the LORD has been trying to work with them to get them on the righteous path for thousands of years at this point. So the LORD, just like a parent, must punish their children for the wrong they’ve done (Proverbs 13:24 we know that one who disciplines their child loves that child).
So for them to learn their “lesson” (to put it easiest), the LORD was sending them off out of their own country into new territory to be punished and suffer by having a harsh human ruler over them now.
Okay, now go ahead and read the scriptures mentioned above in Isaiah.
Jesus went through a LOT as you can see in His life. Jesus had real feelings! I point this out because it amazes me how Jesus was a ‘regular’ person with real feelings. He had grief and sorrow as He was being rejected (that hurt Him!), but He still kept going to do the will of God.
To this very day, we’re all sinners. We’ve all sinned period and we will sin again as long as we’re living on this earth because it’s our nature.
Your sin, my sin, all of our sins are just as bad as the Israelites' sin because there is no worse sin than another’s.
This is why we must give our lives to Jesus and not take His life lightly or for granted!

Jesus paid the ultimate price. He is the final sacrifice. There is no other way except for Jesus to have our sins covered. “It is finished” Jesus said on the cross (John 19:30).
What exactly was “finished” you might wonder? Exactly what was written in these scriptures in Isaiah that you read is what is finished.
