Triumphing Fear

Friend, this blog will be a delight for anyone urgently seeking to conquer fear. Keep reading to find your victory.

Yes, we all are fearful sometimes. Some people are more than others, sure, but did you know that literally doesn’t matter? If you feel like you’re more fearful then other people just know that you’re just as capable of starting and doing anything that they are as well.

Your fear doesn’t restrict you. It doesn’t make you different, it’s natural.

It’s how you redirect your fear that makes you a victor over it. Yes, you aleady are a victor because Jesus won that battle for you! But are you reflecting that in your own life? Probably not, that’s why you’re here, but let’s get you walking in your victory that Jesus so graciously has completed for you.

1st. Remember Who’s you are. You’re a child of God, in Christ Jesus.

2nd. Remember what we just talked about. Jesus already got you the victory!

3rd. Your obedience matters more that your fear. Your fear doesn’t matter (someone had to tell you!). Think of it just as a bump it the road, because it’s normal! You keep going even if you see a bump in the road you just have to get over it first. Once you’re over it, you can now build COURAGE in the thing you were once fearful of starting because you’re now doing it. That courage (or endurance) is the one of the most important things in all of this because it enables you to go even further! To do it again and again, or to now do the next new thing God has placed in your path.

“And not only that,  but we also boast in our afflictions,  because we know that affliction produces endurance,  endurance produces proven character,  and proven character produces hope.” Romans 5:3-4 CSB

Jesus gives you the strength you need. But you have your part to do too, you have to “get your feet wet in the water first”, I think that’s the quote?

You have to get started first, to give God something to work with! You take your first step to show "I am willing Lord", and God will help you take the next one.

So let’s reflect over what we just talked about.

Your fear doesn’t set you apart from anyone, Jesus does!

Your fear doesn’t matter but your obedience matters most. We've all got fears but it's our job to get over it and get into it! So now, once you’re in the middle of doing what you were once fearful of, that’s how you can now gain courage to do it again!

Here's a link to a book that I've found so helpful when it comes to getting unstuck and getting over your fear, because your fear shouldn't hold you back from nothingggg!!
